The town walls of Sabinov are among the most important historic monuments in the town. The fortifications were built in the 15th century to protect inhabitants and trade routes.
The stone walls surrounded the historic core and were complemented by bastions and gates. Although the system has not survived in full, several sections can still be seen around the centre.
